The Potato Shack

Popped in for a late lunch. Family had an array of different meals, all were incredibly filling and delicious. My shakshuka was outstanding! One of the best ones I’ve had recently.

Very much enjoyed my lunch, the food was great and the service good. The reason for the four stars is the issue they have with flies, there are lots inside the cafe which is not nice or imagine particularly great for hygiene, they need to install some fly traps.

This was my second visit to potato shack this place never seems to amaze you. The quality of the food and menu is so varied and delicious. I had poached egg with sourdough bread followed by Jersey milk milkshake and orange juice. Bironie the owner is wonderful person and she has an excellent chef and team and they good delicious organic food.

Lovely food. Well presented. Happy staff. Worth a visit once in a while for an extra treat.

I simply love this place! The food is absolutely brilliant — always fresh and full of flavour. My husband and I often pop in after shopping at our local butcher, and it never disappoints. I genuinely recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely spot to eat. It’s just a short drive from town, so it’s easy to get to. If you’re visiting Jersey for the first time, this is definitely a place where you can enjoy a great meal and soak up a bit of the local vibe.

I love coming here. The cafe has a beautiful interior and exterior - very cozy, yet light and airy. The coffee served here is fantastic - one of the best options for coffee outside of town. I can also highly recommend the food. All very tasty. In summer they also have a selection of yummy ice creams. The menu has further improved in that they now offer plenty of vegan options. This is also a lovely area to go for a little walk before or after your meal. Just look for fern valley on the map.

I just wish could give 6 stars. I own a number of businesses and I never visited a place I could not improve in some way.... Well now I have!!!! Decor, appearance, friendliness, quality of furnishings, quality of food, quality of staff... Absolute perfection!!!. I write many reviews and never have I given such praise We actually visited this farm to see the cows and just popped in to get drink before we left. I love coffee and drink it black so I know good coffee and this was good coffee. Decided to get a few ice creams, as guessed it was made local. The Chocolate ice cream is the best I have ever tasted. Seems weird to mention how good the chocolate ice cream was but they just nailed it..I 100% guarantee it can't be bettered...if I could import it I would...it's that extraordinarily good Anyhow, food was matched by perfect service. No pomp, just fantastic attentive friendly service that left you feeling you just want to stay longer. This review sounds like I must know the owners, I don't, I live in Surrey and was simply on my hols. 100% recommend. Owners of this business just understand what customers want. Update- been a couple of years now since last visit but nothing has changed... Good still great, ice cream still great and sort friendly staff

Lovely restaurant, nice and casual inside, a few tables outside. Food was lush, coffee was good. Staff were helpful and friendly. I said so my friend that I would love to live here! My friend brought me here as a birthday treat and I've gotten home told my husband and it and plan to go back soon
